Slovenian cable TV operators have decided to completeley overhaul their
CATV networks begining in the years between 1998-2000.
The reason for this was to enable integrated use of CATV for both
subscriber and CATV operator. Individual subscriber connetion enables
in addition to already existing reception of TV and radio programs also:
- flawless technical quality of the signal
- ability to recive diferent program packages at diferent prices
- ability to recive additional TV programs on chanells above C21
- ability to connect to internet via CATV network
- easier maintenance
- new wireing and locked hub boxes prevent 'pirate' connections to the CATV network that can disturb the signal to other subscribers
- reduction and elimination of non paying 'customers'
Our company has built in exces of 5000 individual subscriber conections for the two largest CATV companies, that cover Slovenia's Capital with their CATV networks....
Slovenia has over 200.000 CATV subscribers, wich doesn't rank us high in EU member countries, because our geographical and demographical features don't allow higher numbers. However, in respect to stated facts the number of subscribes is an enviable piece of information.
Due to our longterm experience in the field of technical knowlege, requierd tools and high quality of our services, have we provided a great deal of help to the two largest CATV companies with the general reconstruction of their CATV networks (replacing ground and aerial cables, signal amplifiers, seting up hub boxes, calibrating the network).
Renewing outdated joint antena instalations has been performed on our own behalf.
Reconstruction projects have always been undertaken completely independently and in accordance with cable TV operator's orders. Reconstruction organisation requires a level of execution and organisation wich is greatly appriciated by both customers and CATV operators
We intend to continue our colaboration with CATV operators, primarily with technicaly challenging projects, like:
- Access to digital services (cable internet, digital TV, IP telephony, VoD,.....)
- Building cable networks in areas still without it
We are aware that the technical progress in the last five years has greatly increased the demand for more information. We will endevour to speed up the development of telecomunications, so that the window to the world is opened to people all over Slovenia!
